Support Nathan’s debut album
Help bring my debut choral album to life! This recording will showcase a decade of my music and three world-class choirs from the UK.
For over a decade, my choral works have been performed across the world - from Cardiff to Washington DC, Sydney to Riga. I have been so fortunate to work with some of the best choirs in the UK and further afield, building a choral catalogue of 52 works.
Yet many supporters and followers of my music have asked "how can I hear this music again?" or "where can I find a recording?" This project will change that. With your help, we'll produce the debut album of my choral music, showcasing the music that has grown from so many special collaborations I have been fortunate to have as a working composer.
This debut album - i breathe - will feature the following musical works, written since 2015: suo, Let all the world in ev'ry corner sing, Full of sweet days, Three Motets, i breathe, Morals +Interludes, my joy, and Everything about us.
The team
When discussing with friends what this album would look like, I always knew that I wanted to showcase as many of my closest choral collaborators as I could. I am fortunate to be collaborating with some of the UK's finest:
The renowned Choir of Royal Holloway - where I have served as their Composer-in-Residence since 2021 - and their conductor Rupert Gough;
The one and only BBC Singers and their Chief Conductor, Sofi Jeannin;
The outstanding National Youth Choir of Wales - for which I was a member of as a teenager - and their Conductor, Tim Rhys-Evans MBE;
BBC Young Musician 2018 Grand Finalist, cellist Maxim Calver;
Award-winning production team including sound engineer, Adaq Khan;
I am excited to say that the album will be released on one of the UK's leading classical labels, Signum Records, in November 2026.

How your support helps
Classical recording is a labour of love, not profit. Streaming revenues can’t cover production costs, and grants for commercial releases are becoming more rare. We are indebted to the charities and trusts who have committed to this project already and ensured that we could get going. However, we are some way in funding the entire project.
That’s why I’m turning to you - the friends, supportes, listeners, singers, and general music lovers who understand how vital it is to showcase not just my music, but these wonderful choirs.
The total cost of this project - including musicians’ fees, venue hire, recording, editing and mixing, filming live videos alongside the recording, and releasing and promoting the album - will be a little over £42,000.
Your support - however great or small - will go towards supporting one of these aspects of bringing this album to life:
🎵 40% of costs towards musicians & choirs
🎧 30% of costs towards production & mixing
🏛️ 15% of costs towards venue & recording in St. Bartholomew-the Great (May 2025), College Chapel UWTSD Carmarthen (August 2025), and Maida Vale Studios (winter 2025)
🎥 10% of costs towards filming & content
📢 5% of costs towards promotion
